Description

On the Symbol and Origin of the Sekhmet-Andara Pendant

Sekhmet is the lion-headed Netret – a Divine Principle – in Ancient Egypt. While patriarchal interpretations label her as the Goddess of War, Sekhmet is far more than this.

She is the Guardian of Ma’at, the Sacred Balance. The flourishing of Kemet was rooted in Ma’at; without Balance, life in Egypt turned to “death,” the land fell into chaos, and scarcity reigned.

Sekhmet teaches the use of Power based on Ma’at. She is the Fiery Breath of the Desert, who ignites within us the Holy Wrath that rises when we witness injustice, the suffering of the innocent, and the violence of a world thrown out of Balance. And it is Sekhmet who reminds us to channel this sacred rage into acts of creation born from the Heart – to restore the Created World to ONEness and harmony.

This necklace is handcrafted in Egypt, made of silver and inlaid with authentic Egyptian Andara crystals. These crystals were once used in Lemuria and Atlantis, and later became sacred tools in the hands of priestesses and priests of Ancient Egypt.

Before the last temples were closed, the Egyptian Andara crystals were hidden away. For millennia, they were kept safe within the body of Mother Earth. Now they re-emerge to support us in expanding our consciousness once again.
